Last year my family participated in the inaugural Run 4 Everett race event at Ft. Harrison State Park. You can read about the race and the wonderful cause it supports here. This year I was extremely honored to be asked to be the race's official photographer! Like last year, I had a wonderful time, even if I was "working" this year. Here are a few of my favorite moments and photos from the race. If you were a participant or would like to see the complete set of photos, you can check them out at http://run4everett.shutterfly.com. Instructions for saving and/or downloading your photos are available on that site. The race begins each year with a balloon release in remembrance of the children who were lost. It is a beautiful and very touching event. The Ralich Family (minus their newest member), organizers of the race in memory of their son Everett. The run took place at the beautiful Ft. Harrison State Park. The run included 5K and 10K races and a 1K family walk. It was a fun atmosphere with live music from That's What She Said, face painting by Fabulously Fun Company, a misting station (which the kids loved as much as the runners), and free ice cream from Sundae's Homemade Ice Cream. Fun for all ages! I think the kids enjoy the race as much as the adults. It's cute to watch the little ones join up with mom or dad just before they cross the finish line. Thanks, Dave and Steph, for asking me to be a part of your event this year!
