Baby E | Six Weeks New

3/25/2013

I've just finished this little doll's album.  She was such a funny little thing...trying so hard to stay awake.  Every once and awhile she'd drift off, and I'd snap a few sleeping baby shots.  Then she'd wake up and look around with a look on her face that said "what...I wasn't sleeping!"  What a great little model!

It looks like March is the month for babies whose names begin with "E".  I spent Saturday afternoon with this handsome little 3 month old.  I'm such a sucker for brown eyes.  His just made me melt!  Enjoy your sneak peek.

Indoor Two Year Old Session

Sometimes you just can't wait for the weather to cooperate to have portraits taken, especially with little ones who change so much from month to month.  This little guy is modeling my indoor backdrop.  It's sized for small kids and babies and can be used alone or along with portraits in a playroom, bedroom, or favorite family area.

Baby "E" Sneak Peek

3/14/2013

The house is quiet, so I'm sneaking in some editing, despite the fact that my computer is operating at a snail's pace.  Here's a quick sneak peek of Baby "E" from her newborn session yesterday.  At nearly six weeks, she wasn't interested in the classic sleepy baby poses, but she sure was wide-eyed and cooperative.  What a sweet little peanut!

Look Who's Two! | Sneak Peek

When I was packing up my newborn blanket stand a couple of weeks ago, I was thinking there had to be a way to reuse it for older baby and toddler portraits.  After all, as a lifestyle photographer who generally works outdoors, I don't get a lot of work in the winter months.  A day or two later, this little guy's mommy called wondering if there was a way I could do some 2-year old portraits even with the crummy weather we've been having.  It was meant to be.  I converted my blanket stand into a backdrop, and we captured some cute photos of this little guy.  Truth be told, he wasn't really interested in taking pictures (what two year old is?)  This sneak peek is one of the few genuine smiles I got, but we did get a bunch of photos of a two year old being two, and in the end, that's what his parents will really want to remember.  Enjoy your sneak peek.  I can't wait to show you the rest!
