Welcome to the online home for Annabelle's Weddings and Portraiture. I'm Annemarie (Annabelle to my mom). I’ve been taking pictures for as long as I can remember. In fact, I can recall posing my Barbie dolls for prom and wedding portraits with my pink Fujifilm camera as a kid. I began taking pictures professionally in 2005, but after my oldest daughter was born in 2007, I decided to turn my passion for photography into my work.
That decision came when my daughter was three months old, and I took her to a big box store's portrait studio for a "free portrait package". It only included one pose, didn't have enough 8x10s for all of the grandparents, and did not include the studio's "handling fee". After paying $40 for my "free" portraits, I walked out of the studio with two pictures of my daughter that I didn't even like. That experience is what inspired me to create Annabelle's. At that point I was already photographing weddings, but I was having so much fun taking pictures of my own kids, and I knew I could offer something much better than the portrait studio experience. I love taking pictures. Nothing makes me happier than chasing after my kids with my camera, capturing those precious, fleeting moments of childhood. Being able to turn something I love into my work has been a dream come true. Thanks for your interest in my work, and thank you for entrusting me to preserve your precious memories through photographs. You can read more about me and my family here. |
