A quick sneak peek of a super sweet family and a unique photo shoot. I can't wait to share some more pictures.

When I tell people I'm a photographer, a common response is that my house must be full of pictures. Well, not really. You see, when you're a photographer, you spend all of your time working on other people's pictures and not your own. I'm about 2 years behind editing and filing my own pictures. And forget about actually printing and framing them. It almost never happens. Since I already cut back my twice a year photo sessions with the girls to just once this year, I figured I'd work hard to make sure that one session I did squeeze in didn't fall between the cracks. So, here are some pictures of my sweet girls. I've posted even more on my Facebook page. By the way, I don't pose them. After years of being "forced" to take pictures, they're well trained. Oh how I love those girls! Can you tell which one is my serious child and which one is always acting silly? I love how their personalities shine through in their photos.
Thank goodness for warm weather! It may not have been particularly sunny this weekend, but at least we weren't shivering. Here are the sneak peeks from my two sessions this past weekend.
Though I've had alert newborns before, this little man takes the cake. You can't tell from the pictures I chose to post here, but this little guy was awake for most of his nearly 3 hour session. I snapped most of these sleeping newborn shots in the last half hour. Don't get me wrong, he was a little angel...just a wide awake little angel. For his parents' sake, I hope he sleeps better at night. Big brother really wanted me to take a picture of his baby brother in a tie. Who am I to say no to such a cute face. Fortunately, it looks like the little one liked the idea too.
I've had several people ask me lately if I was still taking pictures. Yes, I am! Unfortunately I've fallen way behind on blogging and keeping my Facebook page up to date. I have a new proofing site for clients, so I haven't been posting images on social media. Now that my kids are in school, I hope to get back to it. First up, my latest little client. What a sweet little boy! Enjoy your sneak peek!
Wow, two posts in one night. That almost never happens. A good friend of mine delivered an adorable baby boy just before Christmas. He was a big surprise, arriving a month early. It's hard to believe he's already three months old. Isn't he just the sweetest thing! Enjoy your sneak peek!
My intention was to have my sister's maternity pictures edited by the time her little man arrived. Today was his induction date, and since his induction was scheduled early, I thought I'd be fine. But babies don't follow calendars, and the little guy was born earlier this week. I'm so excited for a new little nephew to love, and I can't wait to take his first professional portraits next week. In the meantime, here are a few more of his proud parents.
Today's sneak peek is a really special one for me. My baby sister is having a baby! I was 8 1/2 years old when my youngest sister was born, and I considered her my own baby when Mom brought her home from the hospital. Now all these years later, she's having a baby of her own. And the best part...she lives here in town, so I get to spoil that baby like only an aunt can do!
And ladies, see that cute little bow she's wearing? My sis is super talented with a crochet hook. She made that especially for our photo shoot, and she's offered to make me some to use for future clients. I'll soon have them in pink, blue, and neutral colors. Yay! After a super fun week at Walt Disney World with my family, I'm back to work editing the last of my fall sessions. After all, it's about time to think about ordering Christmas cards. Of course, this couple has something much more exciting to look forward to this holiday season than a new photo for a Christmas card! Congratulations!
A quick sneak peek from a very chilly (and somewhat rainy) maternity session. Fall is officially here!
