Tonight I'm trying to take a few deep breaths before we begin a crazy busy week. I love the holidays, but they do tend to kick my type A personality into overdrive. Before I go to bed early tonight, I wanted to pop in a quick little sneak peek at the super sweet family I photographed yesterday. I have a couple of posts planned for later this week, but just in case things get too busy and I don't get around to them, I want to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving. I know I have A LOT to be thankful for this year!

Here are a few of my favorite photos from one of last week's sessions. These three siblings are so sweet. I talked to their mom today, and big sister thinks I live at the park where we took the photos. How cute is that!
A quick sneak peek of my latest little clients. I love this shot of them. The three of them are so sweet together! Big sister kept wanting to give her baby sister kisses. What a sweetheart!
This next client is a perfect example of why I started Annabelle's. This mama has always been disappointed in studio portraits of her kiddos. From the minute she stepped out of her car, I could tell that she didn't have high hopes for our session. She confessed that she didn't think her kids were photogenic and that her favorite photos of them were pictures where they weren't looking at the camera. As a mommy, it kind of broke my heart a little bit. Her kids are absolutely adorable! Every mommy deserves great pictures of her kids. The problem is, most kids aren't really comfortable in front of a camera, especially when there's a total stranger behind it. Throw in a windowless studio with bright lights, and it's no wonder they freeze up and get that deer in the headlights look. That's why I love lifestyle photography. Kids get to play, explore, and have fun. Even though the portraits are semi posed, the kids tend to losen up a bit. And to be honest, I think the best photos of all are the ones I catch when the little ones aren't looking and forget I'm there. Here are a few photos from our session. Aren't her kids gorgeous! They're super sweet too. I'm so excited to have given her photos that she loves and that reflect her kids' personalities.
I'm so excited to announce that my first mini session photos are now ready for my client, and I've got more mini sessions planned. It's not too late for outdoor pictures! While most mini session albums will not be posted for everyone to see, I wanted to give you an idea of what you can expect to get from a session. If you click here, you can see the entire album from my first session. Remember, you get one high resolution JPEG image with full printing rights absolutely free with the $35 session fee, and for only $25 more, you can get the entire album on a CD, again with full printing rights. Not only that, but I'll let you in on a little secret. I have a hard time limiting myself to just 15 photos, so if you do order a CD, there's a good chance you'll get a few freebies thrown in. That's right, I'll pop a few extra pictures that you haven't seen yet on your CD as a nice little surprise. For example, my first client will also receive these pictures. I love that picture. It shows just how much fun we were having that afternoon. Mini sessions are booking fast, so reserve your time today!
Mini sessions are now available for the month of November. Mini sessions are only $35! Take advantage of this limited time deal for your holiday cards and gifts. Or use the opportunity to give my services a try for a great price. A mini session includes: - a 1/2 hour photo session at a location of your choice on the northeast side of Indianapolis - an online photo album with 10-15 photos from your session (photos will be watermarked) - one high resolution JPEG of your favorite photo with full printing rights for holiday cards, gift giving, etc - the opportunity to buy a CD of your entire album, with full printing rights, for an additional $25 For more information, check out my Specials page. Hurry, this deal ends at Thanksgiving! And to better introduce my mini session special, I'd like to present my first mini session clients. Their mama was looking for a Christmas card portrait, and since it was just about to rain, the mini session was about all we could have squeezed in. No matter, the girls had a great time, and they look absolutely adorable. Honestly, I don't think our timing could have been any better. We must have hit peak fall color this week, because it was gorgeous! Check back in a day or two for a look at these girls' full photo gallery, to get an idea of what you can expect from your mini session. Have a great weekend!
Have I mentioned recently that I love my job? I especially love that it allows me to hold sweet little babies like this guy. Baby "Z" is one month old. He was a bit fussy, so we had to get a little creative with our posing, but that's OK. I think they turned out absolutely adorable. More pictures from Baby "Z"'s photo session are available on my facebook page.
You may recognize these guys from my photo gallery. I took their family pictures last year, and I was thrilled when I was asked to take pictures of the boys again this year. A repeat client is the best compliment I can receive! We took these pictures as Potter's Bridge Park in Noblesville. It was a beautiful fall evening and such a fun place to play and explore. Thanks for playing in the leaves with me, guys! It was a lot of fun. You can check out some more photos from our photo session on my facebook page.
I love my job! This week I got to spend a beautiful fall evening in a gorgeous park with these two cuties (and their wonderful parents). The boys had tons of fun searching for tadpoles and playing in the leaves while I snapped away. Here's a quick sneak peek of our photo session. More to come soon!
Warning...this blog post contains extreme cuteness. Of course, I'm a little biased because I'm posting pictures of my newest cousin...once removed. That's what my cousin's son is to me. I looked it up. Whatever you call him, he's absolutely adorable. Plus, he shares my birthday, so in my opinion, that makes him extra special. My cousin Deanna and her partner Shannon live in Vermont, so our big family reunion in Michigan this past weekend was my first opportunity to meet this little guy. Bug was completely smitten. She doted on him the same way I remember doting on his mommy. I couldn't resist the opportunity for some cute baby photos, and his moms were more than willing, so while my girls played with daddy at the park, we stole away for some family photos. This is one of my favorite pictures from the shoot (sorry about the watermark placement). I love real life shots. Little C entertaining his mom. He doesn't care that someone is trying to take his picture. In fact, he was happier pretending I didn't exist. And finally, my favorite...peek-a-boo! By the way, I spent the whole weekend sharing a house with this guy, and I barely heard him make a peep. What a sweetie. His moms are lucky I didn't smuggle him home in my luggage. I'm sure Bug wouldn't have objected. I'm surprised I haven't had any requests for a baby brother.
