My sweet little nephew was such a trooper for his first portrait session. He was a great little sleeper and didn't pee on me at all. You can see more of his album on my facebook page.

Last March I had the pleasure of photographing my sister's wedding. That was a pretty great experience, but not as awesome as this past weekend when I got to photograph the happy couple's new addition. Welcome to the world, baby "C"! Here's your sneak peek. Isn't my nephew just the sweetest thing?! Look at all that red hair!
Nope, that title isn't a misprint. This session was shorter than a mini session. It was a micro session. These little ladies are BFF's with my girls. Their mom asked if I could snap a few quick pictures for their Christmas cards on the way to ballet class one morning. It only took about 10 minutes. I'm pretty sure it was my shortest session yet.
I'm wrapping up another client gallery from our chilly mini session afternoon. I was lucky to have families who didn't mind the cold! These kids had so much fun playing that I think they forgot I was there. It made for some adorable candid photos. I hope the family likes them as much as I do.
I just finished the gallery for these little cuties and wanted to post a few of my favorite pics. These two were so sweet and fun! I can't wait to see which photos mom and dad choose as their favorites. Taking a minute to warm up. It was chilly!
It was a chilly day for pictures, and the clouds rolled in as soon as we pulled into the parking lot. However, I had a couple of high spirited kids who didn't mind the chill in the air or the gloomy sky. They were just happy to be running around...kids being kids. Enjoy your sneak peeks! These two were such a sweet pair. You should have seen the kisses they gave one another, without even being asked! I had to pick two of my second session's photos for their sneak peek. I just couldn't decide. These two were non stop action. Even I had mud on me by the end of our session. :)
I mentioned a few weeks ago that I tend to fall behind when it comes to editing and organizing my own personal photos. As I was trying to catch up, I came across some photos I shot of my nephew this summer. My mom, sister-in-law and I had a girls weekend at my parents' place so we could get the cousins together. We didn't spend much time outside because it was way too hot, but we did get a few minutes before church Sunday morning to snap some pictures in my parents' very sunny back yard. This little guy is always on the go, and I think his mom was a little disappointed in his disinterest in my camera. That's probably why I initially forgot about the photos as well. However, looking at them now, I can see just how much of his personality is shining through. They may not be perfectly posed, and he may not be smiling, but they are a perfect reflection of who he was at that moment in time.
I just finished editing the photos from last week's maternity session. These were shot in Zionsville at the Lion's Park. The parents-to-be had their engagement pictures taken in this same park and were married not far from here, so it was a very sentimental spot to take some really special photos. I love this shot! You've got to love a client who's willing to lay in the grass. This is one lucky baby, with parents who already like playing on the playground. This shot was the father-to-be's only request. He wanted to create the optical illusion that he was standing on the baby bump. It's creative! After taking pictures at the park, we walked downtown to take a picture next to the Tavern where the couple had their first date. Thanks for a fun photo session, guys, and congratulations!
You can see more photos on my facebook page. On Friday I met the sweetest couple who are expecting their first baby. These guys were so much fun. Wait until you see the shot the father-to-be asked me to do. It's priceless. In the meantime, here's a quick sneak peek of the parents-to-be and that cute little baby bump (seriously, could she be any cuter?!?)
I want to say a huge thank you to all of the families who made my mini session special a huge success. I've had so much fun photographing you and your children over the past month. Today I'm posting a few photos from my last November mini session. I plan to offer another mini session this spring, so if you missed out this time, keep watching my blog or like me on facebook to receive future announcements.
