I'm wrapping up another client gallery from our chilly mini session afternoon. I was lucky to have families who didn't mind the cold! These kids had so much fun playing that I think they forgot I was there. It made for some adorable candid photos. I hope the family likes them as much as I do.

I just finished the gallery for these little cuties and wanted to post a few of my favorite pics. These two were so sweet and fun! I can't wait to see which photos mom and dad choose as their favorites. Taking a minute to warm up. It was chilly!
It was a chilly day for pictures, and the clouds rolled in as soon as we pulled into the parking lot. However, I had a couple of high spirited kids who didn't mind the chill in the air or the gloomy sky. They were just happy to be running around...kids being kids. Enjoy your sneak peeks! These two were such a sweet pair. You should have seen the kisses they gave one another, without even being asked! I had to pick two of my second session's photos for their sneak peek. I just couldn't decide. These two were non stop action. Even I had mud on me by the end of our session. :)
I mentioned a few weeks ago that I tend to fall behind when it comes to editing and organizing my own personal photos. As I was trying to catch up, I came across some photos I shot of my nephew this summer. My mom, sister-in-law and I had a girls weekend at my parents' place so we could get the cousins together. We didn't spend much time outside because it was way too hot, but we did get a few minutes before church Sunday morning to snap some pictures in my parents' very sunny back yard. This little guy is always on the go, and I think his mom was a little disappointed in his disinterest in my camera. That's probably why I initially forgot about the photos as well. However, looking at them now, I can see just how much of his personality is shining through. They may not be perfectly posed, and he may not be smiling, but they are a perfect reflection of who he was at that moment in time.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again...there's nothing like dandelions to keep toddlers and preschoolers interested in a photo shoot. Check out my facebook page for the complete album.
Today was school picture day at preschool. I don't have high hopes for Monkey's picture, especially since I was told she had a total meltdown right before hand about being in a pull up instead of her big girl panties. So I packed a lunch and headed to the park with the girls after school. After lunch I popped on my zoom lens and let them play in the dandelions. Regardless of how the school pictures turn out, I have a few keepers of my own. I'll have more to share later, but here's a quick one of my Monkey. She's much happier when she doesn't know she's being photographed.
I want to say a huge thank you to all of the families who made my mini session special a huge success. I've had so much fun photographing you and your children over the past month. Today I'm posting a few photos from my last November mini session. I plan to offer another mini session this spring, so if you missed out this time, keep watching my blog or like me on facebook to receive future announcements.
Here are a few of my favorite photos from one of last week's sessions. These three siblings are so sweet. I talked to their mom today, and big sister thinks I live at the park where we took the photos. How cute is that!
A quick sneak peek of my latest little clients. I love this shot of them. The three of them are so sweet together! Big sister kept wanting to give her baby sister kisses. What a sweetheart!
This next client is a perfect example of why I started Annabelle's. This mama has always been disappointed in studio portraits of her kiddos. From the minute she stepped out of her car, I could tell that she didn't have high hopes for our session. She confessed that she didn't think her kids were photogenic and that her favorite photos of them were pictures where they weren't looking at the camera. As a mommy, it kind of broke my heart a little bit. Her kids are absolutely adorable! Every mommy deserves great pictures of her kids. The problem is, most kids aren't really comfortable in front of a camera, especially when there's a total stranger behind it. Throw in a windowless studio with bright lights, and it's no wonder they freeze up and get that deer in the headlights look. That's why I love lifestyle photography. Kids get to play, explore, and have fun. Even though the portraits are semi posed, the kids tend to losen up a bit. And to be honest, I think the best photos of all are the ones I catch when the little ones aren't looking and forget I'm there. Here are a few photos from our session. Aren't her kids gorgeous! They're super sweet too. I'm so excited to have given her photos that she loves and that reflect her kids' personalities.
