Look at those eyelashes! This sweet doll was awake for most of her session. She really didn't trust me and preferred to keep one eye open to make sure I didn't do anything sneaky. This was one of the only sleeping shots I managed to get all morning. As the youngest of four siblings, it's probably a good thing she knows her own mind so young. Welcome to the world, baby V!
Unfortunately I am taking some time off from photography to recover from several spinal surgeries. However, there was no way I was going to miss out on photographing my newest nephew. I had to do the session sans my usual equipment (which I can neither carry or set up right now), but I think we managed just fine. Welcome to the world, Baby "D"!
I absolutely love photographing this family. I've been taking pictures of these kids since they were tiny, and if you poke around on my website a bit, you're sure to see them at various stages as they've grown. The little guy is a total goof who tries to give me a hard time but always ends up grinning in spite of his best efforts not to; and big sister is such a photogenic little beauty. I had a really hard time picking favorites to showcase on the blog, so there are tons. I love them all!
Here are some more photos from my new favorite photo spot. I'm really looking forward to taking more photos here this fall. Just imagine how beautiful it will be when the leaves change!
Yesterday was such a beautiful day! It was the perfect weather for a photo shoot, and these clients selected the perfect location as well. If you're local, check out Flat Fork Creek Park in Fishers (say that three times fast!). It's gorgeous and a lot of fun for kids who prefer running and exploring to slides and swings. I'm so glad I got the opportunity to check it out last night. I'll be recommending it for photos in the future! Enjoy your sneak peek!
I'm done having kids of my own, so one of the joys of being a photographer is being able to hold and love on tiny newborns (and then give them back to their parents for the feeding/diaper changing/being up half of the night bit). It's even better when that tiny newborn is my nephew. Introducing the newest member of my extended family: baby "M". This little guy is going to be a mover and a shaker. Most 4 day old babies still sleep...a lot. Not this guy. He was awake for most of his session. We did sneak in a few almost-asleep shots but we got lots of pictures of those beautiful blue eyes! Look at all of the red hair on those two!
If you've followed my blog for awhile, you'll recognize this family. They have an amazing ability to predict which weekend will have the best weather and the best fall color for their photos every year. Seriously, if you want to book a fall portrait session next year, ask me which weekend this family has booked. They're good luck. It's been fun taking their photos every year and watching their kids grow up. We have so much fun, it hardly feels like work. Again, since I'm behind on editing, this sneak peek is a mini album. Enjoy!
As I type this, I'm looking out my office window at the nearly bare trees in my back yard. Where has fall gone? It seems like just yesterday the trees were full of color. We've been hibernating for the past week since we all came back from fall break sick, so while I'm trying to catch up on my work load, I'm going to post some sneak peeks for my clients eagerly awaiting their photos. Since I'm feeling a bit guilty for falling behind, this sneak peek is a bit more like a mini album. Enjoy!
